Project Manager
We are looking to add a rock star project manager to our team. Our project managers are key to delivering exceptional service and quality for our clients. This position builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing clients; generates proposals and cost estimates; and manages construction projects of varying size and complexity from start to finish.
Major Responsibilities:
- Foster strong client and subcontractor relationships, addressing concerns and managing expectations.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, bid proposals, and construction schedules, including quantity takeoff of self-performed carpentry items and analysis of subcontractor proposals.
- Effectively communicate and document relevant project information to the client and project team.
- Conduct jobsite meetings with owner and architect on a regular basis to review status of project schedule and outstanding items.
- Prepare and review submittals, shop drawings, RFI’s, change orders, and pay applications for successful completion of projects.
Qualifications:
- Construction Management degree or four-year college degree
- At least five years in commercial construction
- Proficiency in Project Scheduling, Estimating, and Project Management and Cost Accounting Software
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- The ability to get results with minimal supervision, but also be a good collaborator
- Flexibility, adaptability and ability to work well under pressure
Journeyman Carpenter
Landco Construction is seeking skilled Journeyman Carpenters to join our team. As a reputable and forward-thinking construction company, we take pride in delivering high-quality projects to our clients. Major Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute carpentry projects accurately and efficiently.
- Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, drywall, finishing, cabinetry, and other woodworking tasks as required.
- Install doors, windows, trim, hardware, and other carpentry components with a focus on craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including superintendents and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Monitor project progress, identify and address challenges, and propose solutions to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Journeyman Carpenter for commercial interiors projects.
- Solid knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and best practices.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Knowledge of building codes such as plumbing, electric and mechanical.
- Excellent understanding of safety protocols and the ability to implement them on the job site.
- High level of proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment.
- Active membership in carpenter’s union.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificate
- Must be able to pass a background check, fingerprinting and drug test.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Salary: Landco will offer $2.50/hour over union journeyman carpenter rate plus a $500 signing bonus with first paycheck.
